Gas & CO Alarm
Gas and CO Alarms: Choose the Correct Target Hazard
Combustible gas and carbon monoxide are different hazards, so the alarm must match the substance being monitored. Garrison lists the LK-680N gas alarm, CX-96RN CO alarm and CX-97RN combined CO/gas alarm. A gas-only model should not be treated as a carbon monoxide detector.
Start with the Target Gas
The LK-680N product description identifies LPG/LNG detection. For CO monitoring or combined coverage, review the corresponding model documentation rather than applying LK-680N specifications to other products. Confirm the gas types, power requirements and alarm functions of the exact model before purchase.
Follow Model-Specific Installation Instructions
Placement depends on the hazard, room conditions and manufacturer guidance. Request the current manual and relevant destination-market documentation, including any applicable test or certification records. A statement about a standard on a product page is not proof of certification for the entire range.
Request Hazard-Specific Advice
Provide Garrison with the target gas, installation location, power supply, destination country and quantity. Alarms supplement appropriate installation, ventilation and maintenance; they do not prevent leaks or guarantee safety.
